2020 was a year of transformative growth for Symmetry Financial Group – as well as a year full of agent contests, virtual events, and making a positive impact. From the moments that defined the year to the ways our agents and staff provided cheer, here is our look back on ways we were able to make an impact in 2020.
This year, our agents helped more than 300,000 American families get valuable life insurance coverage. Beyond serving families and clients, Symmetry agents worked hard to give back to their own communities.
In February, David and Kathie Weishaar made a profound impact on their community in Tucson, Arizona through the Soup Patrol program. On an average night, the group serves more than 100 cups of soup to people in town. In 2019, Soup Patrol dished up 12,796 hot meals!
In October, Advisory Board member Brian Delaney and his agency hosted their third annual 5K and fun run, with proceeds benefitting charity: water to help those in need of access to clean water.
During December, Senior Partner Edward Pritchett made an impact by fundraising for the foundation that he started to honor his mother, the Camilla Foundation. The Camilla Foundation is a certified 501c3 organization dedicated to promoting children's welfare around the world and encouraging nursing education in Western North Carolina.
One of Symmetry Financial Group’s core values is “Being of service and doing good in the world.” In May, Symmetry partnered with several Asheville, North Carolina based organizations to host a community food drive. The Stock the Shelves for Summer campaign raised more than $55,000 to provide food and resources for children and families in our community this summer.
In November, our nationwide network of agents and team members raised $260,000 during a virtual fundraising event themed A Night Under the Stars , benefiting Make-A-Wish Central and Western North Carolina. Proceeds from the event, alongside donations, raised funds to grant more than 40 wishes.
We are proud to announce that the combined efforts of our agent and corporate donations raised a total of $405,000 in 2020.
Symmetry partners with more than 30 non-profits and organizations in our home state of North Carolina and beyond. These organizations include local partners like Bounty and Soul, Homeward Bound and OUR Voice, regional partners like the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and Western North Carolina, and the New York-based non-profit organization charity: water.
We spent the past year giving back, growing ourselves, and making great memories. Thank you to everyone who was a part of our team in 2020, and we can’t wait to see what the next year has in store.
