From May 22 through May 31, 2020, Symmetry Financial Group partnered with several Asheville, North Carolina based organizations, citizens of Asheville, and surrounding school districts to host a community food drive. We are excited to announce that the Stock the Shelves for Summer campaign raised more than $55,000 to provide food and resources for children and families in our community this summer.
Monetary donations from people in the community were matched by the business sponsors, up to $30,000. These contributions were coupled with donation collections from sites throughout Asheville, which collected food, household supplies, and other items that will be dispersed to local families.
All resources from the Stock the Shelves for Summer campaign went directly to Asheville City Schools’ and Buncombe County Schools’ Family Resource Centers to assist their supplemental meal and supply programs.
Through the kindness of our community, the Stock the Shelves for Summer campaign made an impact on the lives of hundreds of families in the Western North Carolina area.
