Symmetry Financial Group is proud to be a gold level sponsor for the Drums & Dragons event taking place on June 23, 2018 at Lake Julian in Arden, N.C. During the event, corporate and community teams will compete in dragon boat races to support CarePartners Foundation , an organization dedicated to preserving post-acute healthcare in Western North Carolina by partnering with donors to fund vital services, such as rehabilitation, home health, adult care, and hospice.
CarePartners has played an integral role in helping one of Symmetry Financial Group’s very own, Dylan Hensley.
“Since the loss of my leg at 16, CarePartners Orthotics & Prosthetics has helped me stay on my feet. There have been many instances of unique and severe complications during this 15-year timespan, but they have made the best of them, and I have been on two feet for the better part of two years for the first time in my life as an amputee,” said Dylan.
This is the second year Symmetry Financial Group has been a sponsor and participant for the Drums & Dragon event. We are honored to support a fantastic organization that is bettering the lives of individuals in our community.
"The Dragon Boat Race is a fun and unique way to show our support and we are thrilled to be sponsoring and participating again this year. We are grateful Dylan has not only shared his story with us and our community, but that he has helped us develop a relationship with such an incredible foundation,” said Whit Zeh, Director of Community Relations at Symmetry Financial Group.
Dragon boat races date back 2,300 years to Southern China. A dragon boat holds 22 individuals competing to cross the finish line the fastest, and is the quickest growing water sport across the world.
